Here are bikes I have made and videos of them in action: the tabs across the top of this page will get you more details of each of them. I started making using wood because it is such a strong material and gradually became interested in the materials themselves, Thus I am now making bikes using carbon fibre , aluminium etc and combinations of materials to achieve the strength and stiffness that I need to get to.
first one – my latest, is ultralight alloy with a new frame construction that I have pioneered. variable angle headstock, variable BB height too: quite a bike !
you can see more of this at http://www.variangle.com or click on ultralight mtb on the menu
this next one is carbon fibre: ultrastiff frame with variable angle headstock

here comes the fun:
This is a full suspension mountain bike from Walnut and London Plane
This bike is a superlight roadbike from Cedar and Sycamore with Walnut detailing
heres the bike in action:
I believe that wood is a brilliant materail for bike building: It is after all a natural carbon fibre and good enough for trees so why not bikes ? Add to this that it looks beautiful and each bike is unique you have got something very special

this bike is from maple and walnut
This roadbike is from elm and London plane
